Christianity came to the Philippines...
and the first Mass was celebrated in Limasawa Island on Easter Sunday March 31, 1521. Over the next 500 years, Christianity spread across the archipelago, weaving itself into the fabric of our country’s character and culture and becoming a significant pillar of strength for our nation. Today, the Filipino faithful of the Archdiocese of Toronto aims to take part in observing this occasion: a great opportunity for us to renew, deepen and strengthen our faith.
